Prof. Antonio Lieto<\/strong>, director of the CIIT LAB<\/a>, has been included in the 2026 World Top 2% Scientists<\/strong> list by Stanford University\u00a0(USA) <\/strong>and\u00a0Elsevier. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

While he was already listed in the 2025 Stanford<\/strong> list, for the specific impact in that academic year, this time he is listed in the “career-long<\/strong>” list, that takes into account the overall scientific impact considering the data of the entire career compared to the ones of the other reserarchers of the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The World’s Top 2% Scientists ranks the top 2% of researchers in the world out of a total of over 200,000 names. The list highlights the world’s most influential scientists<\/strong>, ranking them based on their scientific impact, in terms of number of articles\/publications and citations in their respective research areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The analysis examines 22 scientific areas and 174 subcategories, collecting data from Scopus and evaluating researchers’ scientific performance based on standardized indicators (citations, h-index, hm-index adjusted for co-authorship, citations in articles in different authorship positions, and c-score composition indicator).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
